Bariatric Repositioning Sling
For lifting and positioning users in a supine position
The Guldmann Bariatric Repositioning sling is ideal to turn, transfer and reposition the user in the bed. The sling supports the whole of the body including the head and lifts the user in a supine position to and from the bed, stretcher or floor. It is often used when changing bed linen, rolling the user to carry out hygiene tasks or to re-position the user in the bed.
The Guldmann Bariatric Repositioning Sling is made of polyester or net polyester material. Polyester is the most common material used for slings, as it’s hard-wearing and heavy-duty in nature. Mesh slings are generally more appealing for hygiene slings and other hoisting tasks where the patient may need plenty of breathabilities and/ or may become wet.
There’s also the option to consider a range of in-situ materials for your sling. These are materials that contour to the body and offer a greater degree of comfort for people that need to be moved regularly. In-Situ materials can be used for bathing, as well as standard motion transfers, and they’re great for keeping the body well-ventilated.
The sling can be used with all Guldmann ceiling hoists.
On the sling, there is a label with a QR code leading to a mobile site containing links to instruction video and user manual.
Using the appropriate sling is essential for efficient transfers to ensure comfort, dignity, and safety for the user and the care provider.
